I guess you could say I have a hard time staying in one place for too long. Now that I've recovered from my semester abroad, I'm ready for my next adventure! Last winter, I traveled to India for three weeks with Cornell's Fiber Science and Apparel Design program. While in India, we toured apparel factories, and learned about the process of turning raw fabrics into clothing (you can read more about my trip here!). In two weeks, I'll be going on a very similar trip, but this time to China! I've been dying to visit China ever since my parents and brother went last spring, and I am so excited to learn more about the culture of the country and the role the fashion industry plays in this culture! I've been taking a class all semester to prepare for the trip, and yesterday we had our final meeting to discuss some of the places we'll be going and the things we will be seeing! I am thrilled to be able to share my trip with you, and similar to last winter, I'll be posting daily updates to my site and my Instagram (@sloaneapplebaum)! We also have a collective group Instagram (@fsadchinatrip2017) which you can follow to see images from the whole group!
Right after I return from China, I'll begin my internship at CHANEL! I am so excited to be going back to this amazing company this summer! This time around I'll be interning in the eCommerce department, where I'll learn the ins and outs of creating an online luxury fashion marketplace.
