When Chloe and I went to the Hamptons last week, we stayed in Amagansett, but we made sure to visit every inch of the area, from Montauk up to Sag Harbour and down to Southampton.
Here are some of my favorite spots we visited along on our weekend getaway:
East Hampton Beach:
I am by no means a beach person. I honestly dread beach vacations because I find sitting in the sun all day to be incredibly boring. But, Chloe and I took a quick drive to East Hampton in the morning to check out the beach scene. It was super quiet, which is nice because there's nothing worse than an over-crowded beach. The water was still a bit too cold, but we definitely took advantage of the relaxing beach vibes and the beautiful surroundings (tall trees and elegant mansions as far as the eye can see!) Chloe just got back from a trip to Israel and I just finished my stressful spring semester, so we were both in need of some chill time at the beach!
Scoop Du Jour, East Hampton:
No trip to the Hamptons is complete without some delicious ice cream! For that, there is no place better than Scoop Du Jour in East Hampton. They are famous for their fresh cookie dough topping, which was so yummy and sweet!
Located right off the main shopping street, this shop also serves freshly-made donuts, frozen yogurt, and milkshakes. It's also right next door to the new Tory Sport store and down the block from a fantastic brunch place, Babette's!
Montauk Point Lighthouse:
I was really excited to go out to the Montauk Point Lighthouse. I have heard the view from the top is unbelievable, and Chloe & I were looking for something active to do, so it made for a perfect day trip! We climbed the 137 winding and narrow steps to the top to experience the amazing view of the edge of the island. It was quite windy at the top and the climb up was not easy, but it was definitely worth it to visit this historic landmark.
Clam Bar, Montauk Highway
Chloe and I decided to grab dinner in Montauk at a place called Clam Bar. This outdoor spot on the Montauk Highway reminds me of something you might see on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. It's super retro and its simple menu is includes seafood of all types. This is the perfect place to enjoy dinner and watch the sun set on the water!
Chloe & I kicked off our meal with a shrimp cocktail. This is always my go-to seafood appetizer, and the shrimp was so fresh at Clam Bar!
Chloe ordered a lobster roll for dinner (how AMAZING does that look??!) and I had a filet of grilled salmon over fresh greens (spoiler alert: it was delicious!)
Clam Bar was the perfect place to get a taste of the cuisine and vibe of Montauk!
Fellingham's Restaurant Sports Bar, Southampton:
The next day, we traveled to the other side of the Hamptons and found ourselves in Southhampton! We did a little shopping downtown before grabbing a quick lunch at Fellingham's Restaurant Sports Bar.
It was a sunny, beautiful summer day, which called for some pink lemonade!
I got a mushroom burger with pepper jack cheese. It was delicious but massive; I could barely eat even half of it!
In keeping with our seafood theme, Chloe ordered a grilled mahi sandwich.
While in Southampton, Chloe and I also came across a store that was so cute and trendy, I couldn't believe I've never heard of it before. It's called Kyle by Alene Too, and I highly recommend stopping by the next time you're in town!
Spending the long weekend in the Hamptons was fun, but the best part was being on vacation with my best friend!!
Now, back to the real world! Tomorrow is the first day of my internship at CHANEL, and I can't wait!
