The big event has finally arrived!! Today, my cousin married his new wife, Katie, in a beautifully intimate wedding ceremony on the gorgeous beach of Cancun. I've been to a number of weddings, but this one was certainly the most tasteful and moving. Katie, who arrived like a princess in a grand horse and carriage, was the most beautiful bride I've ever seen, and her smile throughout the entire day was contagious! My cousin, Phil, officiated the wedding of about 35 guests, which was so meaningful. He did a wonderful job and added some great personalization to the ceremony.
The wedding was wonderful, and it's obvious from the way Michael & Katie look at each other that they are truly in love.
The ceremony was followed by champagne on the beach, hors devours on the terrace, and an outdoor reception at our resort. There was delicious food, wonderful company, and lots of dancing! It is days like these that remind me how lucky I am to be a part of such a close-knit and beautiful family. I would not trade anything in the world for that! I am so excited for my big cousin Michael and I am thrilled to welcome Katie into our family!!!
I danced the night away in my Mircana Toucan Maxi Dress from Ted Baker. As soon as I heard Michael and Katie were planning a destination wedding, I knew I wanted a statement dress. This gown, which I found at Bloomingdales, was a match made in heaven!
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend! Do I really have to go back to reality tomorrow? I could stay on this vacation forever...
