I have many style influences in my life, the foremost being my mother. I adore her classic taste. She can typically be found in J.Crew-esque cropped pants, a neutral tone blouse, French Sole flats, and pearls or a statement necklace (think Sandra Bullock in The Blind Side). Her style is timeless! When my mother spotted Sasha Obama rocking this white Tory Burch dress, she knew it had to be added to our wardrobes. Somehow she is always able to pick out the most tasteful pieces!
This dress matches perfectly with my favorite pair of Tory cork wedges, and it's simple yet dressy enough for an evening at an upscale restaurant. I love this dress as it is, but my mother took this outfit to the next level by styling it with a hand embroidered cashmere scarf I purchased while in India. This stunningly intricate scarf features a paisley floral pattern of muted earth tones. It's unlike anything I've ever found at home, which is truly a testament to the unique craftsmanship that exists in the Indian textile industry. I guess I'll have to make my way back there soon!
For this shoot, I was joined by my stylish cousin Bailey! She is wearing a Free People floral romper (similar here!) and tan wedges. The wrap style of this romper is reminiscent of Diane Von Furstenberg: so classic! And I just love the bell sleeves and scalloped shorts.
It's been so fun relaxing and soaking up the sun with family and friends! Tomorrow is the big wedding and I could not be more excited!
