After a long week of work, nothing compares to a calm Sunday. I spent the day running errands with my mother, and tonight we're going to relax by having dinner with my friend Sam and her parents! I'm definitely embracing my lazy Sunday, so when I was putting my outfit together this morning, I wanted to wear something comfortable and chic. I threw together this outfit, which features one of my favorite trends of the summer: white & denim.
I have an obsession with colored denim, and that totally includes white. Although the "no white after Labor Day" rule is so outdated, white denim does look best in the summer! These cute pants are from Ann Taylor, and they are called the Modern Skinny Jeans. In addition to white, this style comes in a bunch of blue denim washes, and they are super comfortable! These jeans are made up of 98% cotton and 2% spandex, so they're very soft and stretchy.
I bought this Soft & Sexy V-Neck Baby T-Shirt at American Eagle a couple of months ago, and I feel like I wear it at least once a week. It is incredibly soft and lightweight, and it comes in a bunch of colors! It's a little loose on me, so I knotted the shirt at the bottom to give it a tighter fit.
Around my waist, I've wrapped a simple denim button-down blouse from H&M. I find it so funny that tying a shirt around the waist has become trendy over the past few years, because I clearly remember 12-year-old Sloane crying at Disney World about wearing her rain jacket around her waist when her parents refused to hold it. Back then, I was upset about looking nerdy. But in reality, it wasn't my parents trying to teach me a lesson in responsibility. Instead, they were influencing me to become a young fashionista.
I'm also sporting my favorite Furla Candy Crossbody in blue. You can read more about my Furla collection (and Furla obsession) here! I love that the crossbody strap is detachable because it allows for more versatility. I also added my giant stone necklace to incorporate some glam into this look. My mother found this necklace a few years ago at Nordstrom, and every time either of us wears it, we get so many compliments. This might be my favorite necklace of all time. It's so unique and a great statement piece; I just love it!! Unfortunately, Nordstrom no longer carries this gorgeous necklace, but they do have some similar necklaces in their Junior department.
I bought these cute Savannah Snakeskin Wedge Sandals at Tory Burch last summer and I literally wore them once. Then, I completely forgot about them until this morning. I'm really glad I found these because they are adorable! They have a 45mm wedge heel, which is just tall enough to add some height without being uncomfortable. The fun snakeskin pattern is perfect for the summer!
I can't believe how quickly this summer is flying by. Before I know it, I'll be spending my Sundays at the library drowning in textbooks and assignments. I'm going to enjoy these lazy Sundays while I still have them.
