Looks: California Cool

April 1, 2015

My first full day in LA was spent on UCLA's campus with my parents and brother, Sam.  He's been spending this year visiting different universities all across the country, trying to decide which schools are a good fit for him! Since he's really interested in studying Film in college, LA seemed like an obvious destination for a college visit.

After being bundled up in winter clothing for months, I was more than ready to shop for a new spring wardrobe. I found these amazing pants at Brandy Melville (similar here) and I'm kinda obsessed with them. They're high-waisted and loose fitting, and I love the destroyed look. They're super casual and (surprisingly) comfortable!  I paired these jeans with a navy and white striped tank, which is also from Brandy, and also not online, but it's similar to their James Tank. This tank is flowy and so soft, and I love how it looks half tucked into these jeans. Under the tank, I am wearing my Kimchi Blue Lace Triangle Bra in Ivory.  When it comes to bralettes, Urban Outfitters is my go-to store.  They have an amazing selection with lots of colors and reasonable prices.  I've been working bralettes into my outfits more and more because they're comfortable and I like how effortlessly chic they look!

It's no secret I'm a big Tory Burch fan.  Her Miller Sandals are one of her most well known products, and this year, she introduced a whole new version of these classic summer shoes.  I am wearing her new Mini Miller Jelly Thong Sandals in Ivory.  I will say, these sandals do not provide much support, but they are so cute! They also come in red and yellow, and they're made of waterproof PVC, which is perfect for the summer!

I'm also wearing a crossbody bag made of PVC, my Furla Candy Mini Crossbody Bag in Ash. This is my second Furla Candy Crossbody, and I love this bag for a number of reasons.  It's small, but it has enough space to fit the essentials (phone, wallet, lipstick).  It's also very simple, which works with my minimalistic style.  And, since it's PVC, I don't have to worry about keeping it out of bad weather or protecting it from stains. It's a convenient bag for a girl like me who is always on the go! It was the only bag I brought with me out to Cali, so you'll be seeing it in all of my outfits!

Lately, I've been into big statement jewelry, like this stone necklace I'm wearing.  This necklace is actually pretty old (I got it at Nordstrom about four years ago), but I just rediscovered it in my closet, so it feels like new! This Stephan & Co. Glitter Stone Necklace from Nordstrom is quite similar. I am also wearing my navy Fitbit Flex and my Tahitian Jelly Michele Watch.

I'm so relieved to finally be off the East Coast & I'm going to continue sharing my looks from my vacation, so stay tuned!

xo!
