Happy 2015!! I'm looking forward to so many amazing things this year, but mostly, I'm looking forward to Fashion Week! With a little more than a month to go, my best friend, Chloe, and I have been working hard to put together the trendiest outfits! Fashion Week is exciting, but also really intimidating, and it's important to look cool, calm, and collected. While my outfits are still under construction, here are some of my inspiration-board outfit ideas for NY Fashion Week 2015!
All black is the perfect option for fashion week. It always looks sleek, chic, and cool! I love this outfit because it incorporates a lot of different trends, including black leather, faux fur, big hats, and mixed metals. This Topshop Faux Shearling Fur Jacket (originally $150.00, on sale $75.00), is perfect for staying warm in the cold New York weather! I would pair this jacket with a very simple black tank top. I'm loving these Topshop Textrued Leather Look Leggings ($44.00). They are faux leather, but they give a nice appearanc that isnt tacky like some faux leathers. This Topshop New Big Floppy Hat ($52.00) is a perfect way to protect your hair from any unexpected weather conditions, and it's super stylish! I added some metallics to this outfit to give it a little flair, and this Topshop Fine Chain Multi Row Necklace ($28.00) has the perfect mix of gold and silver. These Tory Burch Bloomfield Booties (originally $425.00, on sale $297.50) add some more silver to the outfit and look awesome when paired with this Saint Laurent Monogramme Matelasse Shopper Bag ($2,550.00)
Here's another awesome outfit that incorporates black and metallics. Jumpsuits are SO trendy right now, and this MICHAEL Michael Kors Jumpsuit ($160.00) is affordable and chic! I love the silver sequin sleeves, which match perfectly with these Christian Louboutin Pigalle Heels ($3,395.00). I've always been a fan of Furla's Candy Bags, and this Silver Bon Bon Glitter Crossbody ($148.00) is just big enough to fit your phone, wallet, and lipstick (Fashion Week necessities!) For accessories, I combined four black and silver bangles to create the perfect statement piece (from top to bottom, Natasha Couture Crystal & Leather Bracelet, $32.00, Alexis Bittar Lucite Hinged Bracelet, originally $245.00 on sale $146.98, Natasha Couture Jack Crystal Stretch Bracelet, $38.00, MARC by Marc Jacobs 'Key Items' Perforated Silicone Bracelet, $68.00.
This outfit is a trendy take on a classic style. My favorite part of this outift is the boots. Over-the-knee boots are so in this season, and this Stuart Weitzman Lowland Boot ($785.00) is absolutely gorgeous! Chloe just bought these boots in black, and I'm obsessed with them. I love pairing high boots with a mini skirt, and this Topshop Paisley Jacquard Pelmet Skirt ($68.00) is the perfect length; it allows you to show a little leg without being too exposed. This Topshop Long Sleeve Rib Funnel Neck Top ($18.00) is a great sweater for cold winter weather! For accessories, add a pearl necklace, like this Kate Spade All Wrapped Up Faux Pearl Collar Necklace ($76.80), and an adorable crossbody, like this Kate Spade Cedar Street Mini Maise Crossbody. These Prada Baroque Sunglasses ($300.00) are a stylish finishing touch to this Fashion Week look!
I recently purchased a Milly dress that's extremely similar to this Milly Stretch Silk Mini Dress ($385.00), and I've found it to be a wardrobe staple. It can be dressed up for a fancy cocktail event, or in this case, a day in the city. A cape, like this Ariale Cotton-Shantung Coat (originally $1,590.00, on sale $477.00) by THE ROW, is a perfect addition to this outfit. For accessories, I added this gold Topshop Square Tassel Necklace ($18.00), this adorable Black Faux Leather Bow Headband ($10.50) from Icing, and this Chloé Large Baylee Satchel ($2,450.00) This outfit also incorporates these trendy Sam Edelman Kayla Over-The-Knee Boot ($284.95), which are similar to the Stuart Weitzman boots but at a more affordable price.
Another great way to put together an outfit for Fashion Week is by focusing on an accent color. You can take a simple pair of jeans, like these Frame Denim Le High Flare High-Rise Jeans ($220.00), and a simple blouse like this Topshop High Neck Pleated Pussybow Blouse (originally $90.00, now $45.00) and add really funky color-coordinated accessories, like this Periwinkle Sweet Charity Small Spiked Crossbody Bag ($1,395.00) by Christian Louboutin and this Kendra Scott Harlow Frontal Necklace ($225.00). Finish off the look with this Chain Trim Floppy Hat ($60.00) and Robert Ciergerie Fiona Cutout Leather Wedge Boots (originally $750.00, now $525.00).
I'm so excited for Fashion Week! I can't wait to see the shows, hopefully run into some of my favorite bloggers, and share my outfits with you!
