Let's Get Asymmetrical

March 18, 2014

So, what's going to be the biggest trend this spring?  Asymmetrical skirts and dresses!  I absolutely LOVE this trend.  The asymmetrical hem first became popular during this fall/winter season, but now that the temperature is finally warming up, these skirts are going to be in every store and on every fashionista!  So where did this trend begin? Naturally, with teen trendsetter Kylie Jenner

It's pretty clear that Kylie LOVES this new trend!  But this isn't a trend that only Kylie can pull off; it can easily be worn by anyone! All it takes is a bit of creativity.  Here are some outfits I put together (courtesy of Topshop) that incorporate the asymmetrical trend!

This bright and fun everyday look includes a MOTO Denim Wrap Skirt ($64.00), a funky Half Sleeve Seam Tee ($64.00), a colorful pair of GOLDEN Mid Heel Court Shoes ($95.00), and a fantastic Bright Beaded Bib Necklace ($30.00)

Go grunge with this White Tartan Asymmetrical Skort ($50.00) and this Mesh Panel Bralet ($36.00).  Finish off the look with a pair of Lace Trim Ankle Socks ($6.00), LARK Metal Platform Shoes ($100.00), and this Embellished Bow Headband ($28.00).

For a fancier occasion, this Limited Edition Contrast Leather Wrap Skirt ($200.00) is perfect! I love how this Lattice Corset Belt ($52.00) looks on top of the skirt.  I paired this skirt with a Bardot Crop Top ($20.00), SEDUCE Ghillies Wedges ($150.00), and a gorgeous Large Turquoise Flower Necklace ($30.00).

Asymmetrical skirts are a fun way to jazz up your spring wardrobe.  They add a risk to a classic look! So, will you be wearing asymmetric this spring?
